Female Model Brown Tint

This is one of a series of Life Studies I made on Saturday mornings between 1993 and 1995 in the Main Hall at East Croydon United Reform Church with sessions run by artist Joel Arnstein.

The featured image displayed here is the original, drawn in colour pencils [predominantly blue, orange, yellow and black] on brown tinted card and located in the ART section under Life Drawing. Just zoom in to inspect the detail. The chiaroscuro effect rendered by the contrast of light and shade serves to impart a three-dimensional feel to the image. There is also a duplicated version of this subject shown on the site, that has been transformed in PhotoStudio to simulate a monochromatic graphite pencil drawing on a white background.

I’ve set a slideshow of alternative tinted versions, which I made using the colour adjust facilities in the tools section of my MacBook. A copy of the brown tinted original is also included amongst them.

Click on each image in the slideshow to enlarge and view.
Place and run cursor over image to reveal centrally-placed arrows to move back & forth manually through slideshow. Alternatively, click on (play slideshow) in the description beneath to automatically scan through the images.
